Fausett Derby

For the Fausett Reunion this year they are doing pinewood derby races. So, Shawn has been working like crazy to help each of the kids do a car/truck. It is so fun to watch them tell him what they want, say they want to do it, and then watch him help them and make it work. He has some good skills man! I am a so lucky I have a husband who can figure out how to fix anything, build anything, and even with the wrong tools most the time!

When the boys went to fathers and sons camp me and the girls rode our bikes to Artic Circle for dinner, rented movies, and painted our nails. Then... we sent this picture to the boys to tell them good night.

For Fathers day we went to the Richins. The kids got out all of the scooters and bikes and had a blast riding down the hill like Ryan, Shaun, Jessica, and I did when we were little.

Sarah and I went to Activity day camp this week. I am the activity day leader and Sarah is finally old enough to be part of our group! It was fun spending the two days together and to see her try new things and get to play with the girls.

This is my cute boys at "mans camp" with the ward. They had a good time and it was Calebs first time to go. Joe was so excited to have him with them this year. What a view!

Life is GREAT!!!

Well, if life wasn't exciting enough... the basement flooded again! This has happened every year since we bought the house. It is always the same thing - the sewer drain! So, the house smells like sewer water, everything in my scrap/storage room is wet and grose, and Shawn is getting to use his "Bob the Builder skills" again. This time the main pipe broke too, so he got to replace all that, rent the HUGE snake to snake the pipe, and then was AWSOME and helped me clean up the mess. Life is GREAT!!!

VERY Clean Caleb

Okay, so lasts year Caleb would just sit on my lap or play with a toy on the floor while we did school... not this year! We were writing our newspaper stories and Caleb decided to empty a whole bottle of hand soap onto the bathroom counter and then smear it all over in his hair and brush it with the brush!!! I almost died, but he was so proud and he didn't get it in his eyes which I have to think is amazing. So, I stuck his head in the kitchen sink and rinsed him off while he was screaming "No, brush soap, No, brush soap!" Anyway, here is the wonderful picture to prove I didn't kill him.

Chinese childrens day!!!!

Okay so we are two weeks early, but may 5th is Chinese childrens day (and cinco de mayo and Joes birthday ) and we made our Carp windsocks to hang out for that day. The kids did a great job and they loved the idea of another childrens day!
